Product Description
Pietro Romanengo fu Stefano, was founded in Genoa in the second half of the 18th century by Antonio Maria Romanengo and is still owned and operated by the Romanengo family today. Untempted by modernization, the family continues its long tradition of candy making with fruits and flowers.
Their products are made by hand with the same recipes used centuries ago. They are crafted using finest, rarest and most exotic ingredients and the utmost care is used to preserve the fruits and petals without the use of preservatives or coloring.
Their orange flowers water is beautifully balanced and highly flavorful. This traditional essential water has been used in Mediterranean cuisine for centuries and its applications are far reaching.
It is delightful on fruit salad and as an orange flavoring in desserts; for example, it is used in France to flavor madeleines. Many cocktails also employ it. But the true nature of this treat is revealed when it is sprinkled on hot food, which naturally releases its concentrated aromas. Sprinkle it on couscous, delicious carnaroli rice, or add it to tea.
Finally, as a health benefit when placed on warm skin, it can aid relaxation and digestion.
